Where we meet

At present, the Arts Guild has around 75 members holding Season Tickets.

The Fingal Centre has a stage and a large, raked auditorium seating about 250. The capacity of St Columba's is more modest but there will be plenty of room for you; the seats are comfortable (we don't have to endure listening in pews!), the church is heated and we've made it easy to sample the concerts and painless to join.

St Columba's Episcopal Church (Priest-in-Charge, the Reverend Robert Breaden) is situated in Park Road, Portree, about 100m north of the north corner of Somerled Square. The grid reference is NG482437 or set your satnav for IV51 9EH. It was designed by Alexander Ross in 1884. The three-light west window, by E I Ingram, is a memorial to Flora MacDonald, who helped Prince Charles Edward Stuart escape after the Battle of Culloden in 1746.

How to join

Season Ticket cost £35 for all 7 concerts but there is a concesisonary rate for under-sixteens, who may attend any concert for £5 which wll secure them a season ticket. If you're just visiting the Island or not sure you want to join, tickets for each performance are £10 at the door.

The only extras charges are a requested donation (recommended 50p per person) if you partake of tea or coffee and biscuits in the interval, except at the jazz evening where there is the option of a buffet (usually costing about £12 - £15 per head) before the performance. Programmes for each concert are provided without charge.
